It’s White, It’s Blue, It’s Shiny and New!

With its very own domain name, email address and mudguard sticker, the ICF takes its first, tentative steps onto the internet stage proper. Still squinting after weeks of hacking and crashing, spitting and buffing in the corner of a shuttered shed, it’s too early to tell how it’ll fare in the big, wide world web, but here’s hoping.

Looking back through the emails in the Google Group we’ve had a fairly consistent core of members conversing with each other since September last year. It’s been supportive, and it’s been interesting, but it’s remained small. Size isn’t everything, we’re not shareholders seeking profits and market share after all, but we do need to move forward and fulfill the group’s potential.

So please take a look around. If you feel at home here or have something to offer, roll up into the top right corner and click on the register link. There’s no fee, you only need provide your name, an email address and a password.

If you have a story that you can contribute to the People page, get in touch; if you have a centre you would like represented on the Places page, get in touch; if you’re in the business of selling equipment to disabled cyclists and have a piece to provide for the Suppliers page then, er, get in touch. With your help we hope to create an easily accessible, comprehensive source of useful information for disabled cyclists across the British Isles.

In the fullness of time the forum should become a mine of experience and good ideas, as well as support and to facilitate us getting out on our bikes/trikes with like minded cyclists of similar ability. Remember it’s new, that there might be a few teething troubles, but most of all, enjoy. Welcome to the Inclusive Cycling Forum.
